Here’s a couple of pages from my comic that will be featured on the Gameboss anthology. It’s currently on kickstarter, you should check it out and support it, there’s a lot of really cool stuff in there and it only has 8 days left to be funded! Spread the word!
HEY GUYS!!! My fellow SCAD Grad students have put together an anthology they’re trying to get kickstarted!! I’m going to be in the anthology too! YA’LL SHOULD CHECK IT OUT!!!
I’ll be posting a preview of my comic (the one with the aliens) later tonight as a reminder!
This is usually the image I think of when I’m trying to describe how great of a comic Dragonball is. The fact that it’s a wonderfully silly fantasy adventure comic is lost on a lot of people whose first impression was Dragonball Z, an anime in which entire episodes would be devoted to charging up fireballs and longwinded expository speeches delivered mid-air above barren desert landscapes. In the beginning, Dragonball is somewhere between Goonies and Tintin, but with slapstick martial arts thrown in. A remarkable imaginative cast of characters deliver copious amounts of potty humor and groan-inducing wordplay, all set against a backdrop that ranges from Hiroshige-esque wilderness to cityscapes resembling the work of a more cheerful Moebius. So, anyone who’s curious about checking it out… You should do that.
